The whole family can join in! Anybody of any age can swim! Swimming makes your body ageless and the pool is always a family-friendly environment.

5
It’s easy on the joints! You can’t do many sports whilst injured, but you can still swim. Swimming can also help with chronic diseases like arthritis.

The water is refreshing! Whether you’re on holiday and swimming in the pool or at the beach, or taking a dip in the local pool or nearby lake in summertime: the water will refresh you. Take a deep breath and relax, and your worries will float away.

Club Swimming

7
It lengthens the muscles and makes them stronger! Have you seen Duncan Scott? He’s one tall lad! Genes play a part, but his “swimmer muscles” help boost metabolism. It also makes you more flexible.
8
You could be Scotland’s next sporting star! If you train hard enough and stay committed and determined, you could progress through the club system and all the way to the top. How big is your medal cabinet?
9
You’ll make friends for life! Swimming is a brilliant way to socialise, you’ll make great friends within every club.
